Professional Experience: Arts & Education

 

Operations/Special Events Manager, Arlington Center for the Arts

Arlington, MA 1999-present

  • Responsible for coordinating marketing, and scheduling events in a 12,000 square foot,
    multi-use building, including classrooms and galleries

  • Manages logistics for major special community events, including:
            Jugband Festival, Blue Jean Ball, Shakespeare in the park, Arlington, MA

  • Facilitates contracts, equipment, all related arrangements for renters

  • Interfaces with Education Director on: all classes, summer camp, lesson planning, supplies, storage

  • Maintains art gallery space and installation of selected shows at 20 Academy Street location

  • Coordinates Artist and installation of off site exhibits at the Workbar, in Arlington, MA

  • Coordinated logistics of moving ACA from a 50,000 square facility to a temporary space before
    then moving to the final 12,000 square space, 2016-2018

 

Arlington Open Studios Director, Arlington, MA, 2000-present 

  • Coordinate logistics for 60-80 exhibiting artists

  • Work with town officials and other off-site managers

  • Schedule performers and food vendors for the 1-2 day event
